Searching the Cliffs for an Ancient Home

A friend told me about an ancient site tucked into the cliffs, but leaves its exact location for me to figure out. With a backpack and a rough idea of where to look, I head out to find it and end up spending two days trying to locate it.

Along the way, I come across petroglyphs likely left by Ancestral Puebloan people--traces of lives once lived in this country. I spend the night in the backcountry, then continue searching the cliffs the next morning, wondering what might be around the next bend. #southwest #deserts #ancientcivilizations #nature
